As Peter Shapiro said, “That is the true meaning of a circle around the sun—they started it and ended it in that way.”

On September 25, 2019, The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York hosted, “There’s A Reward: A Celebration of the Life & Music of Neal Casal to benefit MusiCares®.” In a touching moment before the set break, a photo of Neal Casal’s plaque that would permanently adorn his memorial stage in Garcia’s Forest was projected for all to see.
