ROCKN’ to LOCKN’ Recap: The Jared Stout Band Win Over Fans at 5 Points Music Sanctuary

Friday night was the second ROCKN’ to LOCKN’ live playoff at 5 Points Music Sanctuary in Roanoke and contending bands Anthony Wayne Vibe, The Jared Stout Band, Mad Iguanas, and The Ryan Greer Band arrived ready to give their all to the competition. The show sold out with many would-be patrons being turned away at the door. After lots of dancing and stellar music, The Jared Stout Band was declared the winner.

Ryan Greer Band took the stage as the first act of the night with their mix of funk, soul, blues, country, and folk. The crowd started to pack into the venue as they eagerly awaited more. Their upbeat set was very well received by the audience.

Next up was Anthony Wayne Vibe, and we want to give a special shout out to them for their hard work promoting this show including his series of videos, “The Search for ROCKN’ to LOCKN’.” He commented that LOCKN’ changed his life and that he was so proud to be involved in our annual battle of the bands competition. They created the perfect atmosphere with a ton of great songs to get people up and dancing.

Before the next act, 5 Points Music Sanctuary Director, Tyler Godsey, came out and spoke to the crowd about the importance of the live music experience for all. We’d like to show some love for this unique venue! 5 Points Music’s mission is to pursue the power of sound through live events that support programs focused on music therapy, education, and hearing loss advocacy.

The next band on the bill was The Jared Stout Band who really got the night started. Their energy and stage presence was unmatched! The packed house was energized by their versatile sound of Americana blended with blues, country, soul, and rock.

The final band was Mad Iguanas, whose local fans came out in full force! The band’s energy was up for the entire set and seemed to spread to the audience members, many of whom went nuts whenever the band name was mentioned during the show.

It was a night of excellent showmanship with each band pouring their hearts and souls into their performances. It was a close call, but the official winner was The Jared Stout Band!

The next ROCKN’ to LOCKN’ playoff is SOLD OUT in D.C. so make sure you grab tickets for the CVille show at The Southern on Friday, March 6 HERE!
